We are pleased to confirm Summerhill Residents Association’s recent accomplishments:

New Secure Area of this website
December 2010
Every leaseholder has now been provided with their log-in codes. Once logged into the secure area you can download a wealth of information, including Accounts, AGM Minutes, Reports, Budgets and much more. Our aim is to be open and transparent and we hope you agree we have achieved this goal.

New communal flooring
December 2010
We have had new flooring installed to the communal areas. Unfortunately there were issues with the installation and so we have arranged for the contractors to return and re-lay this early in 2011:
a) Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause
b) We will be writing to the leaseholders with further details in due course

Emergency Lighting
This was completed in November ‘09. We have also installed additional lights:
a) Ground floor entrance lobbies. As these were dark during the day
b) Bin store. As this was dark during the night

Boundary fence
This was installed in June ‘09 on the corner of Sandy Lane and Summerhill Way and looks superb. The grass is growing back nicely, covering over the dirt path that was created by people taking short cuts across our lawn.

New bins
We purchased new Euro bins in August ’09, these now meet the Health & Safety standards of Merton Council. There are six 660ltr Euro bins to be used as follows:
2 x Green bins: Recycling – mixed, including glass
4 x Grey bins: General waste

New parking sign
This was installed in August ‘09 and replaced the old, tired wooden sign. We believe it adds a touch of class to our grounds.

Our current priorities (Dec 2010)
1) Relay the communal flooring
2) To carry out decorations to all the internal communal areas. We will aim to complete this once we have built up sufficient reserve funds from the Service Charges.

If you own the lease to your flat we would warmly welcome your participation in the residents association. You can have as much or as little input as you'd like. It's simple to become a director so do consider it. The Directors set the level of service charge, arrange for decoration, buildings insurance, cleaning, gardening, lighting, repairs, in fact everything that is required to ensure our block is maintained properly. So go on, become involved, as YOU can make a difference.
